"Not all our thoughts are true," she told her. "They're not?" her daughter responded, amazed. "No," she said. "And you know how when Mommy gets the mail, sometimes she throws junk mail right into the trash? That's what it's like with our thoughts, too. We have to decide which thoughts are true and which ones are junk mail--and then throw them away."<br /><br />I thought this was such a helpful image to think about decluttering our thoughts.
